Propel Bikes is Fully Adopting Mobile Bicycle Servicing.

Propel Bikes is excited to announce that from 1st January 2019 it will be operating as an appointment based, Mobile Bike Servicing, Upgrade & Repair service. The brick-and-mortar outlet at 216 High Street, Uckfield will be permanently closed.

Newick, East Sussex, (1st December 2018): Propel Bikes is altering its business model away from the traditional retail shop environment, & all the restrictions that go with it to being a more flexible, customer focused & convenient, mobile service & repair operation. Appointments are scheduled online or over the phone & services can either be a) collected & taken to Propel’s workshop in Newick to be completed before being returned to the customer at a convenient time, or b) carried out on-site at the customers home or workplace.

Service will cover East Sussex with FREE collect & return / call-out for Silver, Gold or Platinum service packages with 10 miles of Newick. (non-standard services, or outside 10 miles may incur a small fee). With many years of hands-on bicycle experience and 5 years of owning and running a traditional cyclery, owner Rob Pelham is excited to be part of a growing niche in the bicycle industry.

Propel Bikes Mobile Bike Servicing offers conveniences and efficiencies unmatched by the traditional bike shop model. Customers no longer have to load and unload to and from a traditional bike shop. Now the bike shop comes to you, at a time & place of your choosing! In many cases where appropriate, customers will be able to ride immediately after their scheduled service.

Offerings will also include assembling bicycles purchased online from bicycle brands & fitting & correctly setting up parts & accessories purchased online, filling a gap in service and ensuring maximum safety and performance.
In addition, Propel Bikes will be available for corporate and institutional bookings, organizing pop-up workshops, and attending cycling and community-based events. There are plans to add group rides, cycling tours & European cycling trips in the near future.
