Propel Bikes Lockdown Update

I trust everyone has had a great Easter Weekend & sincerely hope this post finds everyone fit & well? This is a little update to let all my loyal customers know what me (Rob) & Propel Bikes are up to during this uncertain time!

Firstly, & most importantly I really can't wait to get back to helping my customers & getting back into the workshop & fixing, maintaining & improving their bicycles (my fingernails have never been cleaner ;o) ) - I am running a list of customers who are wanting me to work on their bikes when this situation improves & isolation restrictions are lifted. If you would like to be added to this list please e-mail your phone number & a brief message to info@propelbikes.co.uk with BOOKING in the subject field!

*** SEE BELOW FOR WAYS I CAN HELP YOU NOW! ***

The decision to put my business on pause is a very, very tough one to make. Although the government has deemed 'bike shops' as essential business' (with the intention that in the city's they can keep NHS & key workers commuting via bike to their key jobs) I find it hard to justify my rural, mobile business, and the necessary journeys as 'essential' unless helping one of these key workers continue commuting by bike. As such the governments order to #stayhome is crystal clear! Add to this the fact I am a one-person, owner-operated small business with 2 young children at home who need looking after & anyone can hopefully see where my priorities must lay.

I have been using the time at home wisely, carrying out a much-0needed cleanout & re-organisation of the workshop to give me more space & make the environmet generally more efficient. I have also made a couple of nice little improvements which I'm looking forward to using when back into the swing of things - I've even given the Rozone parts washer & deep clean & service!

I hope everyone has been able to get out on their bikes where possible for their daily exercise & has been riding responsibly? Stay safe & I look forward to seeing you soon.

#staysafe #rideresponsibly

*** HOME DELIVERY ***
During the pandemic many of the distributors I hold accounts with are offering a 'direct to customer' delivery service - Essentially the customer chooses & orders the product through me (I can advise on suitability, compatibility etc). The customer pays Propel Bikes in the usual way online - The product then arrives at the customer's house, usually the following day!

I have helped customers with specific tyres, seatposts, turbo trainers, pumps etc - I have even arranged just a simple innertube for next day delivery.

Most of the market for parts & accessories is available including from the following suppliers:

www.zyrofisher.co.uk
www.upgradebikes.co.uk
www.raleigh.co.uk

*** WHATSAPP SUPPORT ***
For my regular customers sometimes there is a problem or adjustment needed that they may be able to carry out themselves, they just need some professional advice & guidance to help keep them rolling until such time as I can get their bike in the workshop for some Propel TLC. I have already successfully helped a good few people remotely during this 'lockdown', either by phone or even video chat to help customers get things working & back on the road! Drop me a message in the first instance, if you think this could help?
